Things sneak up fast around this time of the year. Prices skyrocket and hostels fill up fast. If you're even half-considering it, now's the time to stop browsing and actually make a move.

We've also got a bunch of tips to help you get around Europe on a budget.

Tips Before You Go

There are some things you can't escape when travelling Europe in peak season. But you can definitely be prepared!

#1: Book the bed before it's gone​
Good hostels in peak season go fast, especially the ones worth staying in. Hostelworld is where we always search first, so get browsing for your destinations!

#2: Plan your route well​
This will always come down to personal preference, but you've got options depending on how much you wanna spend or the type of trip you're after. Here's a few helpful resources:

#3: Don't roam blind​
Roaming fees across a few countries can take a hefty toll on your budget. An eSIM is probably the best option you've got to stay connected when travelling multiple countries. You can get one with a company like GigSky.

#4: Pack it right​
Besides your undies, have you got your essentials covered? A microfiber towel, a padlock, a money belt to keep your valuables safe... that kind of jazz. Get a pen and paper and start checking off on your backpacking essentials.

#5: Cover yourself​
