Is there a place you can't stop going back to, Reader? For me, no matter what happens, I always end up back in Pakistan. It's a place I've gone to countless times. A place where I’ve hiked many a trail, ridden countless miles on epic motorbikes, and also made lifelong friends. I have been fortunate enough to visit areas that few outsiders ever set foot on, thanks to my connections on the ground. I have also been welcomed into homes with a level of kindness that still blows my mind. Hospitality isn’t a cliché here. Pakistan is raw, real, and impossibly beautiful. From the snow-capped Karakoram and Himalayas to the deep valleys of Hunza and the Fairy Meadows, Pakistan is home to some of the tallest mountains on Earth. But also to remote villages where life hasn’t changed in centuries. Pakistan is a place where you travel through the people. Through the stories you hear along the way. You drink endless cups of chai and share moments with strangers who instantly feel like old friends. This is what travel is really about for me. And this is why I'm coming back next year. But better than that, I'm taking you with me. I'm giving The Broke Backpacker readers a chance to come with me and my friends to the mountains, to cross high passes, and see a side of Pakistan most travellers are not able to grasp. This trip is happening as part of the Elsewheria launch, the new and exciting venture we're starting on The Broke Backpacker. This is your chance to finally understand why I won't shut up about Pakistan. It's either that or you'll have to keep listening to me... You choose 😜 In the meantime, follow Elsewheria on IG for more updates: @elsewheriaadventures |

Travelling is usually about finding your sweet spot. And our sweet spot here at The Broke Backpacker sits somewhere between all the travel wisdom we've collected over the years, the wild stories, and our brutally honest takes. Not everyone likes those, but... ultimately, we're all about sharing the truth of what we find; the good, the bad, the hilarious, the ugly. The Broke Backpacker exists to break the boundaries of what is usually expected from a travel writer. And that's why you're here...

Listen, amigo, we get it… Life can be tough, and it’s all too easy to feel burnt out… That’s why next February we’re running a trip that’s all about slowing down and reconnecting. Last year, we discovered a very special place (which we’re keeping under wraps for now). For lack of a better explanation, it's one of the most healing places we’ve ever been. The energy is different here. The problem is that there’s almost nowhere to stay - except for one truly spectacular place, which we have...
