I’m not going to gatekeep here. I’m going to come right out and say it…the European gem that you NEED to visit in 2026 is Albania! If you’ve been part of The Broke Backpacker fam for a while now, you’ll know that we have been kinda obsessing over this place for a while. It’s the perfect mix of European beauty with a sprinkle of chaos and ruggedness that gets our backpacker hearts racing. I’m super excited to head into the Albanian Alps in 2026, and I thought I’d see if you wanted to join? Yep, it’s finally time to move this travel chat outside of email and into real life! With the launch of Elsewheria, you can now travel with me and other members of The Broke Backpacker team. Our Albanian Alps Adventure is not just another hiking tour, and it's also not a dirt-broke backpacker tour. It’s something that bridges the two, allowing for local, rustic experiences, but with an added level of comfort.
Expect wild swims, village-to-village hiking, epic kayaking adventures. We'll be having dinners in ancient stone homes and staying in boutique lodges. It’s a chance to soak in serenity far from the crowds. So, check your calendars for the following dates, amigos:
This trip is being led by two of our Broke Backpacker superstars, Harv and Dani. These two are HUGE fans of Albania, especially its northern regions. They are passionate group leaders and prioritise creating immersive travel experiences that they would want to have themselves. I’ll be joining the June trip, so if you’re down to travel with me, book in on that one. But the crew on the September trip is also shaping up to be legendary, so either way, you’re in for a bloody good time!
